Charity
All proceeds from our concerts go to charity.
The charities are decided by the choir at the beginning of each year.
Over the years, we have raised more than £20,000.
2022 & 2023
Our charities are:
- The North Devon Hospice
- St. Margaret’s Hospice
- The Calvert Trust
The charities we have supported previously include:
2019
- Home-Start West Somerset – offers support, friendship and practical help to families at home with children under seven from Minehead to Watchet and from Porlock to Dulverton
2018
- revenue from this concert went primarily to choir expenses and rebuilding reserves
2017
- Somerset Sight – an independent, self-funding local charity reaching out to sight impaired people in both the towns and villages of Somerset with a range of services and activities
- C.L.O.W.N.S. – “Creating Learning Opportunities in WesterN Somerset” – well known to many of us through the Playbus, but C.L.O.W.N.S. is much more than that. Sadly, this charity is once more struggling for funds to keep these services running
